Gymkhana contains the newest state of the art strength training and cardio equipment and employs 8 full time certified fitness instructors/personal trainers. The fitness centre offers a variety of aerobics classes ranging from cardio kickboxing to power yoga. Value added services such as clean towels, lockers, saunas, and secure parking.

CLASS MENU:  

 

This class is comprised of 30 minutes Sculpting and 30 minutes of aerobics.
 
This class speaks for itself and targets the core abdominal muscles in a 30 Minute session.
 
Another 30 Minute Abdominal class but at a higher intensity.
 
An intense abdominal workout based on the popular P90X DVD.
 
Aerobics classes are aimed at strengthening the body's cardiovascular system without overly stressing any particular part of the body. It involves a lot of bodily movement.
 
Similar to an aerobics class but a stick/bar is used to increase resistance, stretching, balancing, which makes an excellent addition to cardiovascular training.
 
A fitness and strength workout using a mixture of low impact exercises and weights. Great for toning!
 
BOSU meaning BOth Sides Up is an inflated dome that can be placed on the ground with either the flat or rounded side up. In these classes traditional exercises are performed on a surface that is constantly changing (the BOSU), forcing you to keep your centre of gravity. This makes the exercises more difficult. BOSU training helps establish and reinforce balance, stability, and core strength.
 
Improves the muscle tone and shape of the body through effective exercises, which are specifically for the Legs, Buttocks & Tummy.
 
A combination of aerobics, boxing, and martial arts makes this class an intense total-body workout that improves strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination and balance.
 
This is an aerobics dance fitness class that is set to Dancehall music and comprises mainly of Jamaican dance moves but sometimes features dance moves and music from other Caribbean countries as well.
 
This class targets a large part of our population: Retirees and Active older adults who want camaraderie, excitement and fitness as a regular part of their weekly schedule.
 
These aerobic classes great for fitness and excellent for an efficient cardiovascular workout that help get your heart rate up and to also look and feel great. Hi / Lo Aerobics provide workout regimes that vary from low to high impact levels.
 
Based on the popular Insanity workout DVDs this class will have it done in a group setting but with an instructor on hand to offer alternatives to the moves for all fitness levels to reduce injuries.
 
A method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body.
 
This Pilates class goes a step further and includes the use of the Swiss ball which adds resistance, challenge and variety to the mat work.
 
Step Aerobics is a choreographed routine of stepping up and down on a rectangular platform. It gets your heart and lungs in shape and tones your tush. Step aerobics is a terrific cross-training activity for runners, cyclists, and walkers.
 
This is an athletic stretch class not to be confused with Yoga. Stretching improves flexibility and better prepares the muscles for exercise.
 
Body Sculpt classes are meant to work the entire body, increase strength and tone your muscles. Most of these workouts will target all of the major muscle groups in a single workout routine
 
A total body strength workout concentrating on fatiguing the muscle groups with light weights but high reps. Exercises are done using various stabilising equipment such as the BOSU and Swiss ball.
 
TRX (Total-body Resistance eXercise) owes its roots and ongoing drive to the US Navy SEAL Teams; it is a revolutionary strap based Suspension Training method utilizing leveraged bodyweight exercise. Safely perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance and mobility, all at the intensity you choose.
 
WILD MIX
This dance class includes soca, oldies, funk, and dancehall. Come "brukout" and have fun!!
 
Yoga typically means 'union' between the mind, body and spirit. It involves the practice of physical postures and poses making use of different movements, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and meditation. Yoga is associated with a healthy and lively lifestyle with a balanced approach to life. 
 
This is a Latin-inspired dance fitness class which features exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and popular international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating.
